Howco Utilities LLC is a telecommunications-utility contractor serving the Midwest region; including the metropolitan areas of Kansas City MO/KS, Wichita KS, Manhattan KS, Topeka KS, Columbia MO, St. Joseph MO, and Lake of the Ozarks area.

     Howco is a family owned and operated corporation that was organized in 2007.  Our personnel have an average of 25+ years of experience in the telecommunication industry.

     Howco specializes in outside plant operations including, directional boring, trenching, manhole/conduit work, machine rodding and pulling duct, fiber optic and copper cable installation, aerial installation, structural concrete from small inlets to large plants, and 24/7 on-call emergency response.

​

     Our multiple directional bore crews are capable of boring dirt and rock; sizes ranging from 2”- 30” and capable of placing casing pipe up to 1-ft to  6-ft in diameter. Our trenching crews are capable of plowing multiple products up to 2" in diameter.

     Howco is capable of installing and placing structures ranging from small hand holes to 2,500 cubic ft. manholes (precast or poured). We construct pad sites, with or without wall structures, ranging from 4x4 to 20x40.

     Our multiple repair crews are fully equipped with late model equipment; which include excavators, rock breakers, air compressors, traffic control, light plants, trench safety, dump trucks, bucket trucks, and street plates.

 

     Howco Utilities LLC conducts weekly strategic planning and safety sessions in order for management and field supervisors to discuss the status of all current projects.

     Howco owns and maintains an extensive fleet of construction equipment from directional drills, mini excavators, vac trucks, and a rodder truck.

 

     We continually update and modernize our fleet to take advantage of emerging technologies and safety equipment , using GPS layout and machine control to streamline our work and increase efficiencies.
